Growing Up With the Internet

I think it is good for me to have grown up with the internet, because we can do so many things on it. We can do research for school, play games, send messages to your friends, share videos and pictures, watch movies, and more!
The Internet still has its bad things, though. For example, there is not much privacy on the internet, and you can get cyberbullying. But, overall, I think it is good to grow up with the internet.

Online Privacy

Today Mr. Heslip said that the government is trying to pass a bill that lets them see all of your texts, internet history, and basically everything that you do online. I think that this bill is very stupid because of a couple of reasons. First, what if the government got hacked? That means hackers could have all of your information. Second, do you really want the government to see everything you do? There should be at least some privacy in the online world. Third of all, why do we need it? They say it is to catch people who to bad stuff online, but not everyone does bad things online, but everything that they did online can be seen. I hope they do not pass this. Bye.

First REAL Post

Hello. This is my first REAL post, because the first one was 4 words and didn't really have any meaning. Today I'm going to show you what we have done so far in Exp. 7 class:

Bitstrips:
I think this was the first real project we worked on. Every one in our class had to make a comic strip on Bitstrips about Digital Literacy. I made mine about hacking, which you can see on my site mentioned below.

What I liked about this project: It was fun to create my own comic and design the characters, plot, etc.

What I didn't like about this project: It was a bit confusing at first.

DoppelMe:
On this site, everyone in our class made avatars of themselves. This might be before bitstrips, but I don't really know. Again, you can see my avatar on my site.

What I liked about this project: It was fun to mix and match your avatar with different clothes and stuff.

What I didn't like about this project: I didn't think there was enough customization, and for the majority of the clothes I think you needed real money to get them.

My Picnik Collage:
On this photo-editing site called Picnik, everyone in the class had to make their own collage about cyberbullying, each with 16 photos in the collage. Also, we needed a saying for each 4 photos. You can see it on my site.

What I liked about this project: Picnik is very easy to use.

What I didn't like about this project: Some of the features are premium only.

My Prezi:
Everyone in our class had to make a Prezi, which is kind of like a powerpoint, about cyberbullying. You can see it on my site.

What I like about this project: I thought prezi was interesting and easy to use.

What I didn't like about this project: In some parts I was kind of bored.

My Site:
For this project, we had to make a site on Yola, which was about all the other projects we have done so far. You can see the site here.

What I liked about this project: It was kind of fun to make my very own website.

What I didn't like about this project: This site was very, very slow. I could not upload a picture at school because it lagged so much, so I pretty much could only do 95% of this project at home.

That is all I have to talk about today. Bye!
